House Composites

Dear Gamma Delt Alumni,

I'm trying to compile electronic forms of the house composites (large framed thing with pictures of all the brothers on them) and Gamma Delt group photos from the Aegis yearbooks to put on our website.

If any of you have your individual miniature composites and access to a scanner, can you scan a high quality version and send them to me at JCTurner04@alum.dartmouth.org?  I have found that they don't fit on most scanners, but if you scan both halves of the mini composite, you will have overlapping portions and can then use a program like Adobe Photoshop to merge the pictures into one composite.  This is similar to a function that is on many digital camers for taking panoramic photos.

If you don't have this capability, taking a close up digital picture of the composite would be a great substitute.  Even if it's not perfect, I can edit it before posting on the site.

I'm not sure what year house composites began, but if you have photos of your composite please send me electronic versions of those as well.

During a recent trip to Hanover, I went through the Aegis yearbooks at Rauner Library (formerly Webster Hall) all the way back to 1935 and a little before to retrieve digital versions of the Gamma Delt class photos.  I'm currently working to crop and post them, so you should see those within the next month.

I'll post them as soon as I can.

Thanks
